  3. Cook on medium-low heat for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes until golden brown.

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with mint coriander chutney, garlic yogurt dip, tomato ketchup, or spicy mayonnaise. Pair with tea or coffee for a delicious evening snack, or serve as a healthy appetizer at parties and gatherings.

Tips for Best Results

  • Blend the mixture to a coarse texture instead of making it completely smooth.
  • Do not add water while blending, as it can make the mixture too soft.
  • Roast the gram flour before adding if it is not already roasted for better flavor.
  • If the mixture feels sticky, add a little more roasted gram flour until it is easy to shape.
  • Fry on medium heat to ensure the balls become evenly crisp without burning.
  • Lightly grease the appe pan before each batch to prevent sticking.
  • Roll the balls evenly in breadcrumbs for a crispier outer coating.
  • Serve immediately after cooking for the best taste and texture.
